Habitat for Humanity is looking for a fun-loving enthusastic and creative individual to join our team!

As the Marketing & Outreach Specialist you will get to put your creative vision into action as you tell the stories of Habitat and share our impact with the community! You will inspire others to join our efforts recruit volunteers plan engaging and successful events and work with a team that supports you and your brilliance!


JOB TITLE: Marketing & Outreach Specialist

REPORTS TO: Development Director



ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION

Seeking to put Gods love into action Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes communities and hope.


The Marketing & Outreach Specialist leads the strengthening of our community partnerships and enhances the visibility of HFHEB within our service area through strategic marketing and outreach efforts

.

Essential Functions:

Marketing & Communications:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to meet the short-term and long-term goals of the affiliate.
  • Create and manage marketing materials including but not limited to website content newsletters brochures presentations campaign materials videography photography homeowner testimonials social media content radio advertisements press releases and other forms of marketing placements as required requested or determined by the marketing plan.
  • Lead the design of the annual report in partnership with department managers and directors as needed per requirements of reporting accuracy.
  • Design the annual appeal and assist the Development Director in execution.


Community Outreach:


  • Make presentations to church civic and community groups to raise awareness of HFHEBs mission and projects.
  • Participate in special events such as groundbreaking events and house dedications.
  • Engage in local travel to attend faith services and civic organization meetings.
  • Represent HFHEB at community events
  • Assists the Development Director in execution and organization of fundraising events.
  • Build relationships with potential volunteers and organize volunteers for jobsite ReStore and special events.


Performs other duties as assigned to meet organization needs

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Commitment to Habitat for Humanitys mission core values principles and covenant.
  • Strong experience in public speaking.
  • Excellent creative writing and content development skills.
  • Energetic creative detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to treat a diverse group of volunteers customers fellow employees and the general public with courtesy dignity and respect.
  • High level of ethics integrity diplomacy and initiative; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in design applications (Canva Photoshop Illustrator) Google Suite (Gmail Drive Sheets Docs) and familiarity of website continent management systems (Squarespace Wix)


EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in communications marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing communications or public relations with demonstrated success in community outreach.
