Job Duties:

The University of Wisconsin Survey Center (UWSC) is an organization which provides high quality data collection for survey research projects for universities and state agencies. Interviews are conducted by telephone mail web and in person.

This full-time position will provide support to the UWSC Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) department. Key duties include:

  • Serve in capacity of Lead Worker for the CATI Lab

  • Manage and assign the work of 30-40 CATI Interviewers

  • Immediate supervisory duties will be the responsibility of the Field Director and the CATI Supervisors

  • Adhere to UWSC standards relating to confidentiality and study protocols

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Tracks supply and equipment inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for research supplies equipment and facilities
  • Assists in composing and organizing research reports and manuscripts to provide updates on unit objectives
  • Assists with conducting experiments or interviews collecting and analyzing data and documenting results according to established protocols
  • Maintains organization of research records according to established policies and procedures

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this position is $19.83 - $28.36 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation holidays and paid time off; competitive insurance and saving accounts; and retirement benefits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Evidence of strong organization and attention to detail

  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience working in a CATI environment and administering interviews in a social science setting preferred

  • Experience with supervision and data entry preferred

  • Knowledge of CASES software desired

Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred
