Job Description
Pay Grade/Pay Range:
Department/Organization:200721 - Enterprise Technology
Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:The Director of Systems Engineering assists the Executive Director of Operations to execute managerial responsibilities for the Office of Information Technologys Systems Engineering Cloud Infrastructure Services and Telecommunications teams. These teams perform advanced engineering and operational support for UAs physical and virtual hosted server environments enterprise storage cloud services Microsoft 365 tenant enterprise VoIP platform and related collaboration tools backup and recovery platforms and other mission critical enterprise services. Assists in operational management tasks team goal setting personnel management staff development team performance monitoring policy and process development project facilitation strategic planning and process documentation. Serves as a primary or secondary support for multiple technology platforms and provides systems administration and support tasks associated with assigned platform(s).
Required Minimum Qualifications:Masters degree and six (6) years of IT system experience; OR bachelors degree and eight (8) years of IT system experience.
Skills and Knowledge:Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-motivated. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work in a fast-paced highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with IT operations infrastructure management data infrastructure building construction processes and/or IT service delivery management (ITSM). Experience overseeing large daily operations and projects for information technology staff related to mission-critical infrastructure and operations such as enterprise authentication messaging and/or storage services.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in information technology. Knowledge of advanced programming system skills or security technology. Advanced knowledge of project management methods and applications.
