Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the day to day running of the Hotel ensuring Front Of House shifts are run efficiently ensuring employee productivity providing outstanding guest service and creating a positive work environment for employees. You will also meet regularly with upper management to stay up to date with organizational changes issues and improvements. Follow property specific procedures leading the team in emergency situations (e.g. evacuations medical emergencies natural disasters).


Supervises Guest Experience Agents and Switchboard


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Ensures that all procedures and policies are in place and followed.
  2. Ensures good communication between departments.
  3. Plans the preparation of future shifts to the required standard ensuring costumers satisfaction. Discusses all matters that needed to be followed up with next manager on shift.
  4. Leads by example: Provides a high-quality service and luxury hospitality towards all external but also internal guests.
  5. Ensuring that service is personable and memorable that guests needs are anticipated and requests are followed up. Building relationships and loyalty with guests ensuring they want to return to the hotel.
  6. Trains and monitors allocated colleagues to maintain standards and consistency of service delivery.
  7. Allocation of rooms daily being proactive with special requests and preferences such as twin bedding etc.
  8. Being the first point of contact for guests complaints and issues ensuring issues are followed up with and proactively dealt with.
  9. Taking ownership of daily cash handling financial procedures and open accounts.
  10. To work within all company policies with specific reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  11. To lead the team in emergency situations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:

  • Reception / Front Office operational experience at a luxury level
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Be a Peoples Person with excellent leadership and communication skills in supporting a team.
  • Outstanding service orientation with the ability to focus and deliver guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to learn implement and create processes and procedures quickly.
  • Creativity in problem resolution and ability to drive change where necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills with rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail
  • Strong IT skills proficient in use of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Flexible attitude towards rotas

Desirable:

  • First Aid trained
  • Drivers license
