Job Description
The City of Lenexa is currently accepting applications for Head Lifeguards. This role is a great opportunity to gain customer service and teamwork skills while serving the community at the Lenexa Rec Center
Schedule:
This position requires weekday weekend and holiday availability. Applicants will provide their availability (specific days and hours) during the application process which will be reviewed as part of the hiring decision. Head guards are required to work 5 shifts per month at a minimum.
Position Summary:
The Head Lifeguard oversees the daily operation of the Lenexa Rec Center. This role is responsible for supervising and training lifeguards ensuring safety protocols are followed conducting maintenance checks and maintaining accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 17 years old with 2 years of lifeguard experience including swim lesson instruction.
- Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory credit history required.
Starting rate of pay is $16.50 per hour with annual raises.
Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen. A background check is required for applicants aged 18 and older.
