The FSO (Field Service Organization) is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of highly technical mission critical communications systems at customer locations.

Job Description

• The System Technologist is a dedicated role in the Orlando FL area.

• Responsibilities include optimization and support of complex mission critical communication systems.

• Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including troubleshooting of software driven electronics provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including but not limited to legacy analog advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.

• Program configure optimize test and document complex communications systems.

• Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.

• Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results

• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system implementation upgrades or support issues

• Experience with backhaul networks including technologies in Microwave Fiber and MPLS routing.

• Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques

• Team with Engineering Project Management and Sales personnel to effectively design implement optimize and cutover advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations

• Provide extensive knowledge of R.F. systems such as transmitters receivers and antenna networks

• Deliver expert knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits as well as knowledge of packet switching techniques

• Deliver knowledge of wired communications systems such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) must have an understanding of computer network installation configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling routers switches firewalls and bridges.

• Capable of installation of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting to resolve system/application related issues.

• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word Excel Outlook and Google Suite

• Self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision

• Able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations

Candidate Requirements:

• The System Technologist MUST reside near the Orlando FL area to be available for 24/7 rotation of support 365 days of the year.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by customers.

• Must have a current valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justices Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range: $75000 - $90000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED OR 4 years experience in one of the following: Backhaul Networks Fiber MPLS Microwave Engineering LMR RF Systems Radio Frequency P25 Radio Communications Wired/Wireless Communication Systems Networking Equipment IT IT Systems Telecommunications Public Safety Networking equipment or Military experience

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by customers.
