The Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd. is looking for an AVP Excess Casualty Underwriter to join our Western Region.
Responsibilities:
Marketing and underwriting Excess Casualty business
Exposure identification for a wide variety of business types
Contract analysis
Adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines
Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality service
Collaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the client
Work Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or above and/or insurance certifications
A minimum of 8 years of experience in underwriting casualty business
Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
Strong relationship management skills
Excellent analytical communication and computer skills
Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced team-oriented working environment
Customer-oriented approach

For CA Only:The base salary range for this position is $152000 - $205000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage an employee wellness program life and disability insurance 401k match retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
