Senior Product Owner Digital Experience

Position Summary:
The senior product owner digital experience definesand managesthe product vision and strategy for APSs digital experiences including its websites emerging mobile platforms and core marketing technologies. Alignsthese platforms with the organizations strategic objectives to deliver impactful user-centered digital experiences. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including the Marketing Web Operations and IS web teams (experience and engineering) to coordinate intake and prioritize requirements and ensure delivery of high-value features on time and within budget. The senior product owner digital experience creates and maintains a dynamic product roadmap and backlog continuously refined based on user feedback data insights and changing business today!

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to align product execution with organizational goals communicating the product vision and roadmap effectively.
Vision and Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap ensuring strategic alignment.
User Research: Partner with the experience team for user research leveraging data analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
Backlog Management: Oversee the product backlog ensuring clarity prioritization and alignment with development team capabilities.
User Story Development: Define and prioritize user stories with clear acceptance criteria aligning with product goals and user needs.
Development Collaboration: Work closely with the development team providing direction and removing impediments while bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends competitive landscape and emerging technologies applying this knowledge to product strategy.
Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features based on value delivery and user experience enhancement.
UX/UI Collaboration: Work with UX/UI teams on concept designs and wireframes ensuring user-centric product development.
Works closely with Marketing Web Operations and the integrated IS web teams (UX/UI development) to streamline and coordinate intake and prioritization processes to create an integrated product roadmap for our digital properties aligned with strategic initiatives including those around digital transformation.
Owns prioritization and execution of the digital product roadmap ensuring timely delivery of high-impact features across web and mobile platforms
Collaborates with departments across APS to support organization-wide digital goals
Works closely with UX engineering and analytics teams to turn ideas into tested user-informed solutions
Acts as the voice of the user in product planning bringing insight from feedback and behavioral data
Operates independently as a senior individual contributor reporting to the Head of Product Development & Delivery
Supports governance measurement and continuous improvement practices related to APSs digital experience
Promotes flexible feedback-driven delivery and clear team alignment

Preferred Education:Advanced degree and or Masters degree in Business Computer Science Marketing Engineering Technology or related fields preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
Preferred experience includes hands-on work with content management systems (CMS) with an understanding of end-to-end publishing workflows and the ability to collaborate closely with other teams to deliver seamless digital experiences.
Advanced experience working with customer data platforms (CDP) and marketing automation tools with a strong grasp of how these technologies enable personalized engagement audience segmentation and integrated campaign execution across digital channels.
Proven ability to lead the development of digital products from concept through launch and iteration with a clear focus on user impact and organizational outcomes.
Strong foundation in user-centered design principles and systems thinking with a commitment to solving real problems through iterative insight-driven development.
Experience using modern product tools to manage scope track progress and coordinate cross-functional teams; familiarity with Asana & Airtable is a plus.
Skilled at navigating ambiguity shifting priorities and evolving requirements while maintaining clear communication and forward momentum.
Excellent collaboration skills across diverse teams combined with the ability to work independently and drive work forward through planning prioritization and follow-through.

Travel:The position requires up to 5% of travel for in-person meetings with staff as well as periodic travel to attend meetings and events as part of its core responsibilities as well as additional travel as assigned.
Salary:
The salary range for this position takes into account various factors influencing compensation decisions such as skill sets experience training and other business and organizational requirements. The salary listed within the specified ranges considers relevant experience. Our compensation philosophy at APS aims to maintain salaries at the midpoint of the market. As a result we typically hire within the target starting range. Exceptional rare cases may merit reviews above target starting range for specialized or niche skills aligned with strategic operational goals.
Hiring Range:$119392/year - $162671/year(USD)
Target Starting Range:$119392/year - $132823/year (USD)
Work Environment:
As noted above APS offers a Remote First workplace. Although our Editorial Offices are located on Long Island you can work from other places in the United States. We are flexible about work hours but expect responsiveness during the core of the workday Eastern Time.
