Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping the future of digital experiences Were looking for a Chief Product Owner on a 12 month fixed-term contract to lead the strategy development and delivery of innovative products that make a real difference to our customers and colleagues.

This role can be based from either Cardiff or Hove.

In this role youll lead the overall Agent Desktop and Service User Experience vision across Retail Operations to ensure that the new technology is design and delivered to add maximum value for colleagues and customers. Critical to this role will be owning the overall backlog roadmap and priorities working with the Product Owners on the programme to deliver products and capabilities that are aligned to the vision.

This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation across multiple platforms and journeys working with a diverse team of experts in a collaborative agile environment.

    What youll be doing:

    • Leading guiding and supporting the leadership and senior team members in ideating new creations and improving existing products to support the delivery of the business strategy
    • Continually initiating leading and conducting external research to identify new product service and technologies offerings and opportunities to help lead our business to stay ahead of what our customers crave and our competitors offer
    • Creating the vision goals backlog and proposed roadmap to include value metrics that enable the produce to launch as quickly as possible and also improve and evolve
    • Delivering commercial targets aligned to the department/products delivered including managing and overseeing full department and product budget control
    • Identifying and leading stakeholder collaboration by actively engaging with stakeholders acting as the storyteller of the product to communicate showcase demo and inspire others across senior leadership and within your teams
    • Leading and facilitating workshops/sessions to educate plan playback prioritise and seek feedback from your team senior leaders and key stakeholders
    • Leading the team and being the driving force in resolving barriers to delivery across your products
    • Coaching mentoring and educating the value created through product ownership and principles supporting agile principles and behaviours

    Qualifications :

    Who were looking for:

    • Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner or equivalent 
    • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a collaborative mindset
    • Expertise in agile frameworks such as Scrum Kanban or SAFe
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
    • Experience with User Centre Design techniques
    • Commercial acumen with experience in budget management and value tracking
    • Passion for innovation continuous learning and inclusive leadership
