Probate Solicitor
Location: Sittingbourne or Faversham with 1 day per week WFH

Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

About the Firm

The Private Client department handles a wide range of matters, including complex estate administration, inheritance tax planning, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to progress your career.

Key Responsibilities

As a Probate Solicitor, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of probate and estate administration matters
  • Advise on wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, and LPAs
  • Handle both taxable and non-taxable estates, including complex or high-value matters
  • Draft legal documents accurately and clearly
  • Register and manage Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Maintain high levels of client care and compliance
  • Supervise junior staff and support their development
  • Contribute to business development and networking
  • What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3-5 years' PQE
  • Strong technical knowledge of estate administration and inheritance tax
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear communication and client-care skills
  • Commercial awareness and interest in practice growth
  • Mentoring/supervisory experience a plus
  • STEP qualification desirable (support available)
