Summary:
This temporary full-time role is ideal for a licensed school social worker to cover an employee on leave. You’ll provide direct counseling crisis intervention and case management while collaborating with educators special services and families. The hire will play a vital part in sustaining program continuity and student support during the leave period.
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct individual and group social-emotional counseling per IEPs
• Respond to and manage student crises and safety concerns
• Participate in IEP RTI/MTSS and Student Support Team meetings
• Facilitate family engagement and refer to external support agencies
• Document services progress and case notes in compliance with district protocols
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom supports and behavior plans
Experience You’ll Need:
• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Valid IL Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience with school-based counseling IEP participation and crisis management
• Strong case documentation and family liaison skills
• Familiarity with MTSS/RTI frameworks and community resources
