Job Description
Work Location - Chakan Pune.
The Integral Warehousing & Distribution(IWD) Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations within themedical devices domain includinginbound/outbound transportationwarehousing andfield inventory management. Ensures all activities meet stringent standards forqualitypatient safetyregulatory compliance andtraceability. Leads cross-functional teams optimizes processes throughdata-driven strategies and supports the safe and timely delivery of critical medical products and technologies.
Your role:
- Manageinbound logisticswith strong connections inCustomsandfreight forwarders ensuring timely and compliant material flow.
- Overseewarehousing operationswith a focus onFIFOshelf-life monitoring andenvironmental control(especially forPCBA & E-components).
- Ensureoutbound logisticsexcellence includingcustoms clearance coordination withfreight forwarders and destination delivery accuracy.
- Maintain strictcompliancebetweenSAP master dataandphysical ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Lead teams intransport planningdistribution andfield inventory managementwith a focus onsafetyefficiency andGDPstandards.
- DriveautomationERP (SAP)integration andIndustry 4.0initiatives to enhance operational visibility and control.
- Collaborate withqualitymanufacturing andcommercial teamsto align field inventory strategies with business goals.
- Evaluate and managethird-party logisticsand supplier performance to ensure high-performing strategic partnerships.
- ChampionLEANSix Sigma andcontinuous improvementmethodologies to boostproductivityand reduce waste.
- Provide strategic input oncapacity planningprocurement andinfrastructure development.
- Ensuremaster data integrityfor accurate tracking reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a trusted advisor on logistics-related decisions and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Youre the right fit if you have
- Education: Bachelors / Masters Degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Operations Management or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years inlogistics Supply Chain Transport Logistics Operations Physical Distribution or equivalent. withinmedical deviceshealthcareautomotiveelectronics orpharmaceuticalindustries.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise inWarehousingTransportLogisticsOperations andPhysical Distribution Supply ChainStrong understanding ofGDPISO 13485FDA/GxP andindustry-specific logistics regulations is preferred.
Skills Required:
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) Logistics Systems Transport Planning & Scheduling
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective stakeholder communication and strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge ofLEANSix Sigma andcontinuous improvement frameworks.
- Expertise indata analyticsKPI monitoring andprocess optimization.
- Proficient inERP systems(especiallySAP)WMS and logistics software.
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
This is an onsite role and is based in our manufacturing site in Chakan
