CAHSS / School of Health in Social Science / Centre for Psychological Therapies and Hope Park Counselling Centre

Full-Time: 35 hours per week

Open Ended (permanent)

The School of Health in Social Science is seeking to appoint a Receptionist to provide reception support for the Centre for Psychological Therapies and Hope Park Counselling Centre the Schools in-house post-graduate psychological therapies and counselling training and research Centres.

The Opportunity:

The post-holder will provide a full reception service and contribute to the smooth day to day running across both services. A key part of the role will be to assist the administrative teams by taking responsibility for client enquiries managing the waiting areas and completing some basic administrative tasks. The post-holder will be the first point of contact by phone email and face to face for clients of both services.

Hours

Monday Thursday 11.45am 8.00pm (7.25 hours plus unpaid 1 hour break)

Friday 10.00am 4.30pm (6 hours plus unpaid 30 minute break)

A job share arrangement may be considered.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Ability to learn new systems including the Centres bespoke Database.
  • Accuracy and ability to prioritise tasks within a routine.
  • Ability to apply and understand relevant standard procedures and policies.
  • Flexible approach to duties and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff students clients and members of the public and to provide a warm friendly front of house reflective of the ethos of Centre for Psychological Therapies and Hope Park Counselling Centre.
