About the Role
Are you passionate about product and supply chain compliance Are you highly organized ambitious self-motivated Would you excel in a collaborative results oriented working environment At Ariat we are seeking a Director of Compliance and Sustainability to support both the footwear and apparel businesses. You will develop and implement the strategy for regulatory compliance across Ariats global supply chain including all products and supply chain this people manager role you will be supported by the product compliance manager(s) and the cross-functional teams in product development sourcing merchandising trade and legal. Success in this role will require someone who is expert in the industrys ever changing regulatory landscape and creative and agile with risk assessment and contingency planning.
Youll Make a Difference By
- Defining and driving the global social compliance vision road map and KPIs aligned with Ariats corporate values and ESG goals.
- Interpreting regulatory text and apply practical and reasonable risk assessment to identify impacts to our business and mitigate potential violations.
- Collaborating with sourcing quality and product creation teams to integrate compliance into the product life cycle.
- Monitoring and keepingstakeholders appraised of emerging product social compliance trends and regulation including product safety restricted substances conflict minerals modern slavery ESG.
- Developing and implementing strategies to right size Ariats compliance program for our continued rapid growth
- Supporting compliance team members in their day-to-day functions and develop Ariats next leaders
- Working cross-functionally to investigate and resolve potential compliance issues ensuring swift and thorough mitigation.

About You
- Bachelors Degree required
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience working in regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record in project management multitasking and delivering results
- Exceptional communicator: ability to communicate to audiences at all levels of the organization and scope your messaging accordingly
- Strong interpersonal skills and can work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and teams on multiple projects at once.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Love the action and pace of an operational support role; comfortable with frequent interruptions and able to shift focus quickly from one subject to the next
- Must be optimistic energetic resilient with an appropriate sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines
- 25% domestic and intl travel required

The salary range for this position is $160000 - $170000 per year.
The salary is determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
