Job Description

Follett Content Solutions has been a trusted partner for educators since 1873! We support our educators that touch more than 45 million students worldwide. Follett Content Solutions helps build a diverse collection of print and digital resources to support every student. We are currently hiring for a Business Development Rep. This position is a non-exempt full-time position located in McHenry IL. The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour which is equivalent to $33280 plus commissions! We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office (Monday Tuesday & Thursday) and 2 remote days (Wednesday & Friday).

This position allows you to work 10 months during the year. You get two months off-this will include the last week in June through to the end of July one week in the month of November and two weeks in the month of December as defined by the company while still being paid! During the two months off you will continue to receive a bi-weekly paycheck equivalent to 80 hours. You will be paid for 40 hours per week and your benefits will continue (less applicable benefit deductions taxes and withholdings).

About the Role:

As a Sales Development Consultant you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to increase sales and market share. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to generate new leads build strong relationships with clients and close deals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field
  • 2 years of experience in sales or business development
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the technology industry
  • Experience with CRM software

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research and outreach
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
  • Collaborate with the sales team to build strong relationships with clients
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities
  • Close deals and achieve sales targets

Skills:

In this role you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and close deals. You will also need to be highly organized and able to manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities. Your ability to think strategically and execute sales strategies will be critical to your success. Additionally proficiency in CRM software and experience in the technology industry will be beneficial in this role.
