Job Description

Job Title: Food & Beverage Lead Front of House

Type of Position: Full Time; Seasonal

Schedule: Five days/week includes weekends/holidays. Starts mid to late November

Pay: $21.75 - $24.00/hr. based on skills and experience.

Summary

The Front of House Lead works with the Front of House Supervisor and Food & Beverage Leadership team to provide exceptional guest service. The right candidate will lead Front of House staff in the fast-paced mountain F&B environment to ensure we exceed the expectations of our guests. They will assist with managing the Front of House staff which includes deployment training and general supervision and holding team members accountable for upholding company standards and policies. They will ensure efficient Front of House restaurant operations as well as maintain high productivity quality and guest-service standards. They will assist in overseeing the dining room cashiers and the grab-and-go and retail food programs. They are responsible for ensuring the highest possible level of accuracy in cash handling. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with coordinating daily Front of the House restaurant operations to deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction;
  • Lift/ Carry 25-50 lbs
  • Fill in as cashier when needed and continuously touching tables and getting to know guests while maintaining clean and well stocked dining areas;
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints;
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company and health department sanitation and safety regulations;
  • Assists with opening and closing tasks and balances daily cash drawers and deposits while following the company cash handling policies and procedures;
  • Organize and supervise Front of House shifts and monitor staff performance ensuring proper breaks and time clock use;
  • Assist with employee training and implementation of company policies and procedures that ensure efficient Front of House operations;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education and/or Experience;
  • At least 2 years in a food service establishment;
  • Ability to successfully pass 7-year background screening;
  • Possession of or ability to obtain ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate;
  • Ability to step in to perform all duties of any position in the F&B outlets at any time flexibility to move between leader and line level responsibilities quickly;
  • Ability to take initiative to resolve day-to-day operation issues;
  • Proficiency in front of house restaurant operations especially in high-volume establishments;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods;
  • Withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures as found in typical kitchen environments;
  • Winter outdoor work may be required i.e. snow shoveling loading/unloading delivery trucks etc.
  • Computer skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typical business computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English- speak and understand verbal and written communications;
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Must have understanding of general health department regulations;
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
