Description

The HR Coordinator provides vital support to the Human Resources department and plant operations by facilitating HR processes ensuring compliance with labor laws and supporting a safe productive and respectful workplace. This role plays a key part in recruiting onboarding employee relations benefits administration and maintaining employee records for Carlton Farms.

Requirements
  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment for plant positions including job postings screening interviewing and onboarding.
  • Support new hire orientation and ensure proper documentation including I-9.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits timekeeping attendance policies and general HR inquiries.
  • Coordinate safety training and compliance in collaboration with Safety and Operations teams.
  • Oversee all Workers Comp Claims and EAP
  • Track and administer corrective actions and performance documentation.
  • Serve as back-up receptionist. Answer phones and great guests.
  • Support HR initiatives focused on employee retention engagement and communication.
  • Assist with investigations related to employee complaints harassment or violations of company policy.
  • Prepare reports related to HR metrics compliance audits and headcount tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide support for special projects events and other HR functions as needed.
  • Translate at safety meetings employee lunches meetings etc. as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 13 years of HR experience ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook); experience with HRIS systems a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment and wearing required PPE when needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with frequent interaction on the plant floor.
  • Exposure to refrigerated environments loud noises and production equipment
