Summary

This Electrical Engineer position will fulfill a technical role within the hardware development department which is in the Test Engineering this role you will support the hardware development and design of automated test system projects which require specialized qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs hardware circuit boards and wire assemblies for electronic test systems
  • Monitors and analyzes electrical testing of products and troubleshoots test failures.
  • Provides technical consultation to management and leads hardware design activities for project team
  • Assists in project planning to estimate project resources to achieve quality delivery and cost objectives
  • Generates test documentation and performs verification and validation testing of automated test systems to ensure all requirements are being supported
  • Interacts with project team and design agency to discuss status and resolve design development production and acceptance issues
  • Based on research and collaboration with peers applies develops and recommends innovative methodologies and technologies to resolve design problems
  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees the public and the environment
  • *May perform other duties as required

You Must Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Engineering or Physics from and accredited program.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in engineering analytical or related technical activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
  • United States Citizenship
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain if required for position a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

We Value

  • Experience with electronics and automated test equipment design with an emphasis on hardware
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (C# LabVIEW)
  • Demonstrates application of advanced design development evaluation and quality control techniques to complex engineering projects.
  • Demonstrates working under minimal supervision with latitude for independent action and decision making.
