Job Description
Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).
This is a technical position needed to drive the development and support of the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA) modernization project a full replacement of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitations case management system. Candidates will play an integral role on self directed project teams working on this high priority development project.
Project work will include:
application design and development integration with 3rd party internal and external systems database technology migration from Oracle to Azure SQL and data conversion building and maintaining cloud computing environments and analysis of legacy code and logical requirements. Advising on and executing documentation unit testing and cross testing best practices.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing creating and maintaining web services system integrations web development and highly complex online transaction processing (OLTP).

- At least 2 years experience as a lead developer in a large application development project preferably involving modernization of technology
- At least 2 years experience using Core v6-8
- At least 1 year experience in Azure SQL cloud database solution
- At least 1 year experience with GitHub distributed version control and using GitHub actions to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience using Linq or Entity Framework
- Previous experience providing this service for government a plus and experience with DWDs environments will be especially valuable
