Oversee financial reporting regulatory compliance maintenance of general ledger and produce financial statements to ensure optimal financial performance and integrity.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Assist in developing long-term financial strategies and goals. Coordinate the annual budgeting process including forecasting and variance analysis and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws regulations and internal policies.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals including hiring training and performance management. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting department.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Engage in special projects such as mergers and acquisitions system implementations or process improvements. Provide financial expertise and support for strategic initiatives and manage ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
Job Contribution:
- Oversees operational aspects of the department focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives.
- This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management.
- Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization.
- Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring firing disciplinary action promotional activity and pay decisions for subordinates.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree (BS/BA) desired.
- 5 years of related experience.
Our Associate Director Accounting earn between $116700 - $196100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
