About the role.

Our Sanitation Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of daily sanitations MSS pest control and EMP controls. The development and coaching of the sanitation team and the shift sanitizers across all crews and shifts. The Sanitation Manager is responsible for maintaining the plant following FDA and USDA regulations quality specifications and company standards. Reduce costs through optimizing sanitations procedural improvements and the development of an empowered work team. This role will require a flexible working schedule. Monday - Friday 6am to 3pm . Must be able to adjust schedule and shift priorities as necessary to be effective and consistent with current operational requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Sustainthe plant to a sanitation standard above or consistent with all auditors company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Manage and leadmultiple teams includingfour crews sanitation team andcustodian staff.
  • Supportan adequate work force distributed throughout the days work requirements to achieve optimum usage of labor.
  • Manage and lead daily sanitation huddles resulting action to ensure completion and adherence to sanitation process as designed.
  • Accountable and maintains the sanitation budget.
  • Strategic planning and root cause analysisto improve the effectiveness of sanitation.
  • Must be able to adjust schedule and shift priorities as necessary to be effective and consistent with current operational requirements.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators of thesanitationsteams performance including safety efficiency waste downtime labor costs and communicating these indicators to the team for further action.
  • Maintain the departments equipment and resources in good working order taking appropriate action to correct problems.
  • Providean adequate stock of sanitation and production supplies to carry out the required tasks.
  • Enforce all safety requirements/guidelines and correct working practices throughout the department.
  • Provide mentorship to develop supervisors by teaching training and keeping them up to date with new laws and sanitation regulations to ensure continual education to get optimal results and ensurea strong succession plan.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of safety equipment is available to the department personnel report and prevent accidents. Research new equipment for safety.
  • Propose and executecost savings measuresto ensure efficient use of chemicals equipment and personnel.
  • Communicatedepartment needs as well as any changes in procedure or policy that may affect other areas or departments.
  • Delegate responsibilities and duties to individuals to promote a more organized strongerand efficientdepartment.
  • Suggest and promote improvement in his/her department as well as other departments whenever appropriate.
  • Maintain adequate records of the departments activities and personnel and make them available to management.
  • Update and enforce policies and procedures of the department and plant.
  • Maintain certification in specified areas as required by federal state and company policies.
  • Maintain consistency across all shifts in safety fairness training chemical usage cleaning standards cost reduction and certifications.
  • Develop implement and track a master cleaning schedule for the following areas but not limited to plant warehouse production officeexteriorand employee break areas.
  • Work in cooperation with other departments to ensure proper set-up and start-up of all lines.
  • Exhibitgood customer relations with plant staff visitors vendors and co-workers; shows courtesy compassion and respect for all. Presenting a professional image performing with the highest regard to productivity quality harmony and safety.
  • Engage in Kaizen and Sanitation improvement workshops to deliver best practices across the business to the facility
  • Collaborated with Ecolab to enhance pest control measures improve cleaning practices and optimize chemical usage
  • Create and maintain an engaging environment where employees care about their work and about the performance of the company and feel that their efforts make a difference.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent or 2 years of combination of experience and education in Business or related field.

  • 5 years experience in food manufacturing; 3 years sanitation experience; knowledge of sanitation processes and pest control practices and procedures.

Compensation Package: $81600- $108900 USD annually bonuseligibility Long Term Incentive eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education/training and other organizational needs.
