In this role youll:
Take charge of leading Transports automated camera enforcement programs across NSW to deliver impactful future-focused road safety regulatory outcomes. Youll drive the strategic direction for compliance asset management adjudication and enforcement across fixed and mobile camera networks ensuring systems are robust innovative and aligned with legislative standards.
You will also lead the development and delivery of compliance and investigation strategies across third-party regulated entities in the licensing and vehicle registration portfolios working closely with stakeholders to enhance compliance and regulatory assurance performance. Your leadership will be critical in embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the branch.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of automated camera enforcement systems including certification testing maintenance and operational monitoring ensuring system integrity and alignment with legislation and road safety outcomes.
Overseeing enforcement operations including adjudication processes compliance support and delivery of capital works to expand camera programs while managing supplier performance and large-scale outsourced activities.
Partnering across Transport to influence policy trial emerging technologies and shape data-driven strategies that deliver on the Road Safety Action Plan and support long-term regulatory transformation.

About you
Youre a transformational regulatory leader with a strong track record in compliance operational management and enforcement preferably with experience in automated systems or road safety environments. You have proven experience delivering and thinking strategically across multiple complex programs with the regulatory leadership skills to shape compliance strategy and drive operational excellence.
Your people leadership capabilities are key: you inspire engage and develop high-performing teams while managing diverse stakeholders and navigating ambiguity with clarity and resilience. Youre adept at applying legislative frameworks using data to inform decision-making and guiding teams through change in fast-paced complex environments.
With deep knowledge of enforcement technologies regulatory frameworks and road safety you bring a collaborative and innovative approach to leadership that supports continuous improvement and safer roads.
