In charge of cleaning cages administering medication and providing animals with food and water.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Prepare food for dogs and cats
Walking/exercising dogs and cats
Cleaning and sanitizing dog and cat cages/runs.
Administering oral/topical medications to dogs and cats.
Basic housekeeping (mopping sweeping and laundry)
Entering patient notes into practice management software.
Knowledge
Basic animal care
Animal behavior
Skills
Basic animal care experience in areas such as feeding animal ward sanitization dog walking cat care and oral medication administration.
Technology Skills
Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a veterinary kennel setting.
Subject to standing walking sitting bending reaching kneeling pushing and pulling.
Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
Safety
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

$23.00/hour
