About:
Vulcraft a division of Nucor Corporation is seeking applicants for a Sales Representative position located in our Birmingham AL Sales Office.
Founded in 1946 Vulcraft is the largest producer of open web steel joist and joist girders in North America. It is among the safest lowest-cost and most productive steel products companies globally. Vulcraft is one of the oldest operating divisions of Nucor Corporation. Nucor is the largest steel producer in the United States and employs over 31000 teammates worldwide. Nucor is a Fortune 100 company and holds the title of being North Americas largest recycler.
Basic Job Functions:
- Be a positive and energetic teammate and an active participant within our culture.
- Build strong durable loyal relationships with customers in the Alabama territory.
- Take ownership of customer accounts and grow profitable business in the market.
- Support your customers and teammates by bid coordination estimating and order set-up.
- This role calls for a high level of collaboration with sales and non-sales teammates within the entire Vulcraft/Verco group to drive enterprise-wide results.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Birmingham AL area
- Be willing to and have the means to travel.
- Be willing to work more than 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Sales experience in the construction industry
- Bachelors degree in Business Sales Marketing Construction Mgt. or related field
