About the role:

Norco is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader - Accounts Receivableto lead a high-performing team within our finance function. This pivotal role ensures the accurate billing of customers efficient collection of outstanding balances and ongoing reconciliation of accounts to maintain financial integrity.

This position offers a flexible location of work in either Lismore Northern Rivers NSW or Labrador Gold Coast QLD. If the successful candidate is located on the Gold Coast you will be required to travel to Lismore two days per week (company pool car).

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for mentoring team members driving continuous improvement and implementing strategies to enhance receivables performance. With a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder engagement youll act as a key point of contact for resolving escalations and driving client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead coach and support the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Oversee billing collections and reconciliation processes.
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively manage overdue accounts.
  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Support audits financial reporting and month-end activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and system enhancements.
What are we looking for
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting Bookkeeping or related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Prior experience in a leadership / management role with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable credit control or similar finance roles.
  • Proficiency in financial/ERP systems (SAP and MoPro highly beneficial) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Team-oriented and solutions focussed.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Drivers licence essential.
