Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are amulti-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for aBusiness Analyst in Canberra to work on a Gate Review project.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Perform critical examination and analysis of issues impacting Defence capability incorporating all recognised fundamental inputs to capability.
- Develop concise and well-structured briefs for Capability Gate Reviews
- Establish and manage communities of interest to support collaboration and knowledge-sharing on identified capability issues.
- Collaborate with a small team of assessment specialists
What Youll Bring
- Experience in analysing Defence capability issues and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
- Experience preparing and presenting briefs for high-level Defence committees
- Experience establishing and managing communities of interest or stakeholder groups to support capability development or issue resolution.
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegativeVetting 2or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
