Job Description
Job Title: Associate Optical Engineer

JobDescription:The primary role of this position is to provideoptical engineering supporton various aerospace programs. These programs utilize imaging systems ranging from UV to LWIR regions of the EM radiation spectrum. Engineering support is in the form of design/analysis and alignment/test of optical systems and components.
Essential Functions:
- Testing of optical systems and components
- Working with cross-discipline teams to build and utilize optical test sets
- Strong organizational written and verbal skills
- Performing troubleshooting and requirements verification
- Optical design modeling and programming
- Systems trade studies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Optics Physics Engineering Mathematics or similar field
PreferredAdditionalSkills:
- Experience in optical design/modeling systems trade studies and analysis of remote sensing infrared and visible space qualified systems and components
- Experience in optical engineering or aerospace industry
- Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools
- Excellent communication technical writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of FRED MATLAB Python
- Exposure to Systems Engineering standards processes and disciplines
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role inMassachusetts is $74000 - $ is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
