About the Role
As a Senior Advisor Customer Insights & Analytics at ATCO you will play a pivotal role in delivering actionable insights derived from data. Your insights will directly influence key business decisions and drive the companys growth strategy. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for data storytelling and customer insight.
You are active and engaged in the world customer insights participating in professional groups and networks in touch with advancements in research tools methods and analyses. You have an appetite for innovation piloting new approaches to enhance insights generation and data storytelling.
What You Get to Do:
Lead the design and execution of customer research initiatives
- Develop and manage end-to-end research plans using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Design surveys discussion guides and sampling strategies to ensure robust and representative insights
- Complete quantitative data collection and qualitative research fieldwork external partner coordination and quality assurance processes
- Ensure research outputs align with business objectives and stakeholder needs
Develop and maintain ongoing insights workstreams and ad hoc reporting
- Build and manage recurring customer research frameworks (e.g. customer satisfaction brand tracking customer journey metrics and voice-of-customer programs)
- Respond to ad hoc insight requests with agility ensuring timely and relevant analysis
- Maintain documentation to support organizational knowledge/development
- Continuously improve reporting processes for efficiency and impact
Translate complex data into actionable insights
- Synthesize findings across multiple data sources and research projects to uncover key themes and trends
- Develop clear compelling narratives that connect customer insights to strategic business outcomes
- Present insights to senior leadership in a way that drives understanding and action
- Identify gaps in knowledge and recommend future research to address them
Collaborate cross-functionally
- Partner with internal teams across Marketing Communications Business Development and Strategy teams embedding customer insights into planning and execution
- Facilitate working sessions to align research needs and priorities
- Translate business questions into researchable hypotheses and actionable deliverables
- Ensure insights are integrated into initiatives where relevant
What You Bring:
- Post secondary education in Business Marketing Data Science Statistics Social Sciences or a related field
- 7 years of progressive experience providing strategic insights to guide marketing strategy and customer initiative decisions to senior leadership including the translation of advanced analytics into key insights that identify untapped value and unrealized opportunity
- Proven ability to influence peers and leaders through data-driven storytelling and strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research including survey design data analysis methods KPI identification and development and the ability to interpret signals from complex datasets
- Strong background in qualitative research including project design conducting 1:1 interviews and moderating focus groups alongside experience in thematic analysis and synthesizing findings
- Deep understanding of customer decision-making and engagement patterns
- Proficiency in data analysis modeling and forecasting. Familiarity with tools such as SPSS DisplayR Qualtrics or other online data collection analysis and interpretation software
- Skilled in creating intuitive dashboards and visual reports
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; able to translate data into business impact
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects often involving a set of cross-functional stakeholders and teams
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and mitigating risks
- Understanding of privacy legislation and ethical data use principles
- A valid class 5 drivers license
