What is the opportunity

RBCs Advanced Data Insights & Integration Team is seeking a highly motivated and talented Manager with an owner operator mindset. The Team consists of a group of skilled data practitioners who:

  • Liberate & connect new data to understand more about clients / advisors / operations

  • Increase sales conversion optimize marketing spend & improve client acquisition

  • Intake and develop new bold ideas and Gen AI uses into approved onboarding process

The Manager Data Strategy & Operations will have the opportunity to sit at the intersection of strategic planning team operations and delivery enablement. Successful candidates will be able to apply core consulting skills to business situations (e.g. problem solving data analysis & modelling slide writing stakeholder management etc.) and become a trusted advisor for business partners.

What will you do

  • Conduct research perform quantitative and qualitative analyses provide data-driven recommendations and derive business insights (the so what)

  • Drive problem-solving (i.e. formulate hypotheses problem tress etc.) collaborating with subject matter experts to gather relevant data & facts.

  • Plan and facilitate workshops working sessions and stakeholder alignment meetings with external stakeholders such as Google AWS and Nvidia.

  • Prepare senior management materials (power point presentations). Synthesize key messages with crisp and rigorous logic; adapt written and verbal communication to different types of audiences

  • Drive operational rhythms such as team planning cycles meeting cadences onboarding and cross functional coordination

  • Develop periodic reports for senior executives and partners by gathering data from business leaders drafting and organizing content reviewing for accuracy (i.e. pressure-testing) and finalizing materials

  • Support finance process including budget coordination invoice tracking and liaising with internal finance

What do you need to succeed

Must have:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business or finance with an emphasis in Strategy

  • 2 years of experience in a financial institution or management consulting firm with proven experience working in complex strategic projects. Background in Technology / Data is a plus

  • Critical Thinking: ability to analyze situations and translate them into insights to make informed decisions. Excellent problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations. Consulting Case Interview may be required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (i.e. ability to articulate complex messages in a concise and clear way active/deep listening). Timed case analysis & slide writing may be required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word Power Point Excel Outlook

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of Data Analytic tools is a plus (Tableau)
