Welder We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding various assemblies using both manual and robotic welding methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. Duties/Responsibilities - Follow all company and industry safety policies including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- Adhere to company OSHA and other applicable standards and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to plan welding operations.
- Design fabricate and implement welding fixtures to support accurate efficient and repeatable welding processes. Set up operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Weld mild steel components together using traditional MIG welding processes.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Repair or modify existing metal structures as required.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Mentor and train welders in proper welding techniques safety protocols and the use of equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills/ Abilities - Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
- Physical ability to perform welding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems.
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Work Environment The work environment for a Welder may include exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions. The temperature inside a warehouse can vary. Some warehouses are climate-controlled while others may not be. Physical Requirements The employee will frequently lift on average 30lbs throughout the course of a shift ability to lift up 50 lbs occasionally. The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to frequently bend and/ or twist throughout the course of a shift.
