Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong leadership experience to take ownership of a busy finance department, managing UK and overseas teams while delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting to support business growth.
As Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, managing a UK-based team and coordinating with overseas finance teams and outsourced providers. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic input, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and effective cashflow management.
You'll produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and Board packs, lead the year-end audit, and review processes to drive efficiency and improve controls.
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and insightful Board reporting.
Manage cashflow, banking relationships, and credit control.
Lead the annual audit and ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and statutory requirements.
Build strong relationships with overseas teams to ensure timely consolidated reporting.
Review and enhance processes to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.
Support budgeting, asset management, and financing activities.
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.
Proven track record managing a finance team in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator, able to partner with stakeholders at all levels.
Hands-on leader with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Knowledge of FinancialForce (desirable but not essential).
