The Role

As Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, managing a UK-based team and coordinating with overseas finance teams and outsourced providers. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic input, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and effective cashflow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.

  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and insightful Board reporting.

  • Manage cashflow, banking relationships, and credit control.

  • Lead the annual audit and ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and statutory requirements.

  • Build strong relationships with overseas teams to ensure timely consolidated reporting.

  • Review and enhance processes to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.

  • Support budgeting, asset management, and financing activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.

  • Proven track record managing a finance team in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail.

  • Confident communicator, able to partner with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Hands-on leader with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

  • Knowledge of FinancialForce (desirable but not essential).
