Moderator (Minecraft)

Help us shape a safe fair and fun Minecraft experience from day one.
As a Moderator on our network youre on the frontlines of community well-being. Youll play a crucial role in maintaining a positive environment by handling rule violations supporting players and identifying unfair behavior across game modes and platforms. Whether youre diffusing heated situations or catching cheaters before they ruin the fun your work will have a direct and visible impact.

This position starts as an unpaid volunteer role with the potential to develop into a paid contractor position.

Tasks

• Monitor and moderate in-game activity to ensure a safe and fair experience for all players
• Handle player reports and rule violations effectively following internal guidelines and escalation paths
• Actively moderate external platforms including the forums Discord and other social channels
• Collect feedback and report bugs player behavior patterns or areas where rules need improvement
• Help onboard and mentor new moderators once youre experienced
• Collaborate with developers community managers and other staff members to ensure smooth communication and coordination
• Contribute to improving moderation tools workflows and training materials over time

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Minecraft mechanics and how players may exploit them across different game modes
• Previous experience identifying and dealing with players using third-party modifications or unfair gameplay advantages
• Strong communication skills able to speak with players in a calm respectful and professional manner even in difficult situations
• A proactive and responsible mindset you know when to act independently and when to escalate
• Able to work on weekends and during peak activity times
• Team spirit youre comfortable working with others to achieve broader goals but also able to focus when working alone
• Expected availability of around 20 hours per week
