Job Summary:
This position is for an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer working a 5x8 day shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM). The role requires a minimum of one year of experience but first-time applicants are welcome. The position may require floating to meet facility needs and schedule requests will be discussed with the manager. The facility is a 25-bed Critical Access Magnet hospital.
Location: Jacksonville Illinois United States.
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac sonography procedures.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Document findings accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- May float to other areas within the scope of practice as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer (first-timers accepted).
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred but not required.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- More than one year of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer.
- Experience in a critical access hospital setting.
Special Considerations:
- Floating to other areas within the scope of practice as needed.
- Schedule requests will be discussed with the manager.
- Up to 36 hours of call-offs are permitted per 13-week assignment without pay; additional call-offs will be billed. On-call shifts count as call-offs.
- Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO restrictions.
- Parking permit required (no cost).
