Job Description
Title : Desktop Support Technician
Location : Alcoa TN 37701
IT Site Support Specialist will be responsible for:
Provide onsite support for end-user devices including desktops laptops and peripherals.
Perform network diagnosis and support resolving connectivity issues and escalating complex problems.
Manage incident tickets ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across various platforms.
Install configure and upgrade IT equipment and software as needed.
Support mobile devices including setup configuration and troubleshooting.
Maintain and support meeting room technology including AV equipment and Conferencing tools.
Coordinate with specialized IT teams for escalations and advanced technical support.
Conduct preventive maintenance and health checks on end-user devices.
Provide support for process computers and business workstations in operational environments.
Track and update IT asset inventory ensuring accurate records and compliance.
Contribute to incident management and participate in root cause analysis.
Maintain and update the knowledge base with solutions and troubleshooting steps.
Provide hardware asset support including procurement and lifecycle management.
Deliver software support including licensing and compliance checks.
Assist with compliance and auditing activities related to IT systems and processes.
Offer specialized support for business-critical applications and systems.
Participate in service transition activities for new technologies and services.
Implement preventive management strategies to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
