Job Title: System Administrator

Location: Harrisburg PA Onsite

Duration: 12 Month

Description of Duties :

  • Coordinate communicate document and track progress and status on IT initiatives.
  • Apply project management concepts to daily tasks as required.
  • Provide centralized statewide technical support for desktop hardware laptops tablets peripherals and software.
  • Establish and implement hardware and software installation standards for supported agencies.
  • Administer network security including adding changing or deleting user accounts managing passwords and handling account lockouts.
  • Perform machine security patches and virus software upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other BIT staff to understand their functions and how they support computer use across supported agencies.
  • Coordinate schedules for IT asset replacements upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop document and initiate processes for IT asset installations relocations and changes.
  • Respond to Service Desk tickets requiring Level 2 asset management support.
  • Process ServiceNow updates and reconciliations based on physical inventory reports.
  • Provide Level 2 troubleshooting and advanced problem resolution for PC hardware software and peripherals.
  • Utilize ServiceNow to identify track and resolve IT issues.
  • Run hardware and software reports using Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Create technical documentation for both IT staff and end users.
  • Image and configure laptop and desktop hardware.
  • Create SCCM and Active Directory (AD) objects for devices that need imaging.
  • Perform post-image verification in AD Organizational Units (OU).
  • Verify drivers and test images for accuracy on new hardware.
  • Perform manual BIOS changes as needed.
  • Update and submit documentation changes during the imaging process to the Systems Management Supervisor for approval.
