Job Description
This is a remote position.
Role Name: Bookkeeper/Accountant
Schedule:
20 hours per week Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm EST
Client Timezone: EST
Step into a pivotal role where youll build and manage the financial foundation for a multi-entity business structure experiencing rapid growth. As the finance professional for this technology-forward company youll work directly with the founder to establish robust financial systems across diverse business operations from high-volume technology services to seasonal entertainment ventures. This position offers the unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple industries while implementing proper financial controls and compliance measures. With the company poised for significant expansion following an upcoming technology launch youll have the chance to grow into a full-time role and potentially participate in equity opportunities as the business scales.
Responsibilities
Manage comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple business entities under one parent company structure
Oversee financial operations for the primary technology and growth services division handling the highest transaction volume
Handle seasonal financial activities for the events and music production subsidiary
Ensure compliance and regulatory adherence across all business verticals
Collaborate directly with the company founder to establish and optimize financial systems and processes
Integrate with existing financial tools including Stripe payment processing and Mercury banking platform
Work with IT support teams to implement and enhance accounting software solutions for multi-entity management
Requirements
Experience with US-based company accounting and bookkeeping practices
Proficiency with major accounting software platforms (QuickBooks Online Xero or similar systems)
Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations across multiple business entities
Excellent English communication skills with ability to work in international team environment
Experience collaborating with remote teams and founders in fast-paced growth environments
Strong independent work capabilities with attention to detail for multi-company financial oversight
Knowledge of US business compliance and regulatory requirements for diverse industry operations
