We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join our team at Novotel Canberra! In this exciting influential position you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency productivity and excellence across our Front Office Reservations and Housekeeping departments. Reporting to the General Manager you will:
- Lead mentor and manage a diverse team fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement operational strategies policies and procedures to drive organisational success
- Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations health and safety standards and company policies
- Oversee financial management including budgeting forecasting and cost control measures
- Manage inventory and procurement processes to optimise resources and control costs
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless cross-functional operations and achieve company-wide objectives
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
- Stay informed about industry trends and implement innovative practices to maintain a competitive edge
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in senior management within hotels (5 years)
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong decision-making capacity
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management
- Proficiency in data analysis and hotel management software
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices
