Summary
Direct Health Information Management (HIM) operations for one or more regions. Areas of responsibility include records management transcription document imaging chart completion and provider support customer service archive management regulatory/accreditation compliance and health data management in all health care settings. Accountable for all of the legal medical records. Monitors the achievement of profit/loss market share product or operational targets and general performance goals for the department.Job Description
Discretion over department expenditures and can expose the department to limited financial liability. Direct a remote and on-site workforce. Represent HIM on regional specific committees and work groups. Additional specialty responsibilities for enterprise HIM or regional needs may be assigned. Support integrating and standardizing HIM operational services through collaboration and organizational alignment within Sanford.
Direct services in an efficient and effective manner working within nationally recognized guidelines and practices. Provide leadership and technical expertise to employees in areas of responsibility. Accountable for the attainment of department goals. Set and monitor productivity and quality standards. Provide for orientation training regular evaluations and continuing education opportunities for employees within area of responsibility. Develop and maintain positive professional working relationships with other departments and providers across the enterprise. Accountable for staffing budgets service excellence and employee satisfaction issues. Initiate and oversee large scale initiatives involving multiple teams and departments. Accountable for performance metrics.
Qualifications
