This is your chance to make a lasting impact. Were seeking a dynamic Group Manager Technology Sourcing to help reset our function and drive performance across Australia and New Zealand.

This rare opportunity puts you at the heart of a large integrated services business where youll influence how procurement and property services are delivered at scale. If youre a high performer ready to lead change we want to hear from you.

As part of Group Procurement & Property operating under a hybrid delivery model youll provide specialist support across Downers business units. Reporting to the GM Group Procurement & Property youll lead technology sourcing manage strategic supplier relationships and deliver procurement outcomes aligned with business and Group objectives.

Youll oversee a team of 3 Sourcing Managers and 1 License & Renewal Manager with a focus on value creation cost-efficiency and strategic execution. This permanent role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the chance to shape sourcing within a top-tier organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management efforts across technology to ensure value for money governance compliance and sustainable procurement goals.
  • Ensure optimised service delivery and benefits realisation utilising contractual leverage.
  • Embrace innovative procurement solutions including Artificial Intelligence and leverage data analytics to enhance decision-making operational efficiency and productivity uplift.
  • Act as a strategic leader influencing and collaborating with stakeholders to align sourcing delivery with group objectives and strategy.
  • Engage influence and inform senior leaders to support key partners. Provide guidance & expertise for decision making.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to drive innovation continuous improvement support transformational change and inspire productivity growth.
  • Support the supplier to thrive by managing supplier concerns escalations information requests and facilitating executive engagement.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Assist stakeholders to monitor evaluate and report on supplier performance using defined KPIs and scorecards.
  • Identify category and supplier risks (e.g. financial operational geo-political) and support the development of mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Downer Digital Procurement Business Units Finance Legal) to identify procurement initiatives and align supplier activities with business requirements.

What You Will Bring

  • A high performing mindset with a focus on quality execution.
  • Youll be a great communicator and interpreter of business needs with deep procurement experience
  • Tertiary Qualified in a Business/Commercial/Supply Chain related degree or equivalent related industry experience.
  • 10 years experience in Procurement Category Management Strategic Sourcing Management or related discipline.
  • Experience in a large complex working environment engaging with large corporate IT suppliers.
  • Experience in large scale transformational change simplification and cost out initiatives.
  • Information Technology related experience & knowledge (mandatory).
