Job Description

Adult Education - NEDP Assessor (Anticipated)
School Year: 25/26
Schedule: TBD based on program enrollment
Date Closing: Open until filled
Adult Ed Teacher Rate: $40.32/hr
Assessor/Mentor - National External Diploma Program (NEDP)

The NEDP Assessor is responsible for the general administration of the NEDP They oversee mentors and students at the
Norwich campus as well as at satellite campuses. The NEDP Program Leader works in concert with the Adult Education
Director Program Facilitator and Guidance Counselor to ensure a rigorous education experience for NEDP students.
General Requirements:

Prior experience in Adult Education or High School experience/certification
Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree preferred
CT State Certification #106 or eligibility for CT Certification
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation ofteachers
Union-optional/Non-tenure track position; hourly rate commensurate with NTA contract
Completion of NEDP Implementation Training
Work with at least one NEDP client in diagnostics and general assessment on an annual basis to maintaincertification.

Duties include:
Administration/Program Oversight
  • Assign take-home work
  • Conduct in-office checks
  • Provide client feedback based on assessment results
  • Monitors client progress and assesses college and career competencies
Curriculum Implementation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ensure CCRS implementation
  • Attend regularly scheduled NEDP meetings/trainings
General Responsibilities
  • Introduces NEDP program to students through informational sessions/counseling
  • Used diagnostic assessments to guide programming
  • Maintains lines of communication between mentors and students
  • Collaborates with NRAE staff as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director
