Bureau Veritas Asset Management Division

Were seeking a skilled and dedicatedFacility Condition Assessor to join our dynamic team! If youre passionate about building assessment processes and have a deep understanding of technical standards this role is for you.

As a Facility Condition Assessor youll play a crucial role in performing comprehensive building evaluations including Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) energy audits ADA accessibility assessments mechanical equipment evaluations space planning and other asset management functions for commercial institutional and municipal facilities. This role requires 50% travel - boots on the ground - to be able to put your eyes on the buildings for assessment. Location is Portland Oregon for this role. When not traveling you will be based out of your home office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core Functions:

  • Conduct on-site inspections and building condition assessments using mobile inspection and capital planning software on an iPad.
  • Perform walk-through surveys of major building systems structures interiors exteriors and pavements.
  • Conduct space utilization planning and analysis.
  • Provide photographic documentation and detailed observations of site and building features.
  • Identify system types conditions remaining useful life and significant deficiencies based on visual inspection.
  • Provide recommendations and planning-level cost estimates for building envelopes components and systems repair or replacement.
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders and review relevant property records and documents.
  • Complete Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) reports using asset assessment management software.
  • May be required to work overtime and travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Work remotely and climb ladders or stairs for on-site assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in building condition assessments energy audits and space planning.
  • Experience in Facility Design Building Construction Assessments and/or Maintenance Management.
  • Proficient in using mobile inspection and capital planning software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet productivity and quality objectives.
  • BONUS - not required - Registered Architect Professional Engineer Certified Energy Manager
  • Valid drivers license is required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS Excel.
  • Must be willing to fly and live near (or be willing to relocate to) a major metropolitan area with reasonable access to a major airport.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS Excel.
  • Ability to travel on average approximately 50% time to client sites.

Salary Range: $75000 - $85000
