**This role follows a TuesdaySaturday schedule working first-shift hours in a hybrid capacity based out of our CBX office in Westmont IL.**

What We Do
CBX Connect is a fast growing provider of technology infrastructure in the MDU space specifically currently focusing on Design Installation and Support of managed Wi-fi in student housing. Position Overview
Were looking for a motivated and reliable Help Desk Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role that blends hands-on logistics with technical network support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of physical and technical tasks and wants to grow in a dynamic team-oriented environment. The Help Desk Specialist will support Level 1/2 networking issues manage IT assets assist with equipment configuration and occasionally support on-site deployments. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in IT.
What You Will Do
Provide Level 1/2 help desk support for networking issues escalating complex problems as needed.
Manage and respond to support tickets through Zendesk.
Receive unpack document and ship IT equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Assist with asset tracking and ensure equipment is properly labeled and logged.
Stage and configure switches routers firewalls and access points following standard procedures.
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and operations teams to ensure timely support and readiness.
Travel occasionally to support onsite installations and equipment deployments.
Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ideally youll have
12 years of experience in IT support networking or a related technical field.
Working knowledge of basic networking concepts and hardware (e.g. switches routers firewalls).
Familiarity with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail especially in logistics and inventory tracking.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 lbs).
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support.
