TYPE OF POSITION: Part time 10-20 hours/week school year 2025-2026. Compensation provided at an hourly rate to be determined based on Special Education Instructional Aide reports to and is supervised by the Special Educator and/or Director of Special Education. He/she is primarily responsible for assisting in the implementation of each students Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered qualified for this position candidates must minimally have the following:
- Bachelor or Associate Degree and/or passing score on Paraprofessional Assessment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing with children and adults.
- Ability to relate well with students colleagues parents and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS which include but are not limited to:
- Under the direction of the Special Educator and/or Director of Special Education accommodate and modify for student learning and support the general education teacher with the implementation of appropriate accommodations in the general education setting.
- Provide assistance with instruction for students with disabilities.
- Supervise students with disabilities during non-instructional activities.
- Supervise students during transitions.
- Assist with data collection.
- Collaborate with general education special education and related services staff.
- Perform related duties as may be designated by the Special Educator and/or Director of Special Education.
