Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent Part-time (Monday to Thursday only)

Silverthornes Opticians is a well-established independent practice located in the heart of Salisbury. As we grow were looking to welcome an enthusiastic Optical Receptionist to our friendly team.
About the Role:
As our Optical Receptionist youll be the welcoming face of the practice the first person patients see or speak to when they get in touch. Youll play a key role in delivering a smooth and caring patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting patients and visitors with a warm professional manner
Booking and managing appointments via our digital system
Answering phone and email enquiries efficiently
Taking payments and handling till operations
Keeping reception tidy stocked and patient-friendly
Updating and maintaining patient records
Supporting the optical team with administrative tasks
Occasionally assisting with frame selection or patient questions
What Were Looking For:
Experience in a receptionist customer service or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential full training will be provided
Excellent communication and people skills
Confidence using basic computer systems
Organised dependable and detail-oriented
Friendly calm and professional under pressure
An interest in optics or healthcare is a bonus
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday only No weekends!We offer a healthy work-life balance with no evening or weekend shifts making this role ideal for those seeking stability and flexibility.
