You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe have a 12-month contract opportunity available for a hands-on leader to manage the end-to-end project delivery of our new in-house Field Management Solution. As ourSenior IT Project Manager for Field Systems Transformationyour focus is on robust project execution and being the conduit between our software developers and the operational side of the business. This role is based at our modern Melbourne Head Office featuring a balcony BBQ area collaborative and quiet spaces and an abundance of natural light.
About the role
This business-critical project involves transitioning a large national field workforce from legacy systems onto a single centralised platform driving significant improvements in operational efficiency data consistency and service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the end-to-end project lifecycle for the national roll out of the new in-house built Field Management Solution.
Developing and executing a comprehensive change management and training plan to ensure smooth adoption by a large geographically dispersed workforce.
Collaborating with internal software development teams and key business stakeholders to manage scope timelines and deliverables for the new platform.
Delivering necessary integrations with other work order financial and project management solutions.
Establishing and managing effective project governance including regular steering group meetings with C-level stakeholders and detailed status reporting.
Proactively managing project finances including internal resources and other expenses to meet project budgets exceeding $2m.
Managing complex project issues risks and dependencies to align with stakeholder expectations and strategic goals.
Ensuring a sustainable transition of the new solution into business-as-usual (BAU) operations including the establishment of clear support models.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the PMO Framework and Delivery Models.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have experience in delivering IT application projects where significant integration has been required and a strong track record in transformational change.
You will also have:
Tertiary qualification in an IT or business-related discipline or equivalent extensive experience.
Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP PRINCE2 AgilePM or similar).
Proven experience managing the roll out of field service construction management or similar operational systems to a large distributed workforce.
Proven project management experience in delivering complex IT projects with budgets exceeding $2m.
Demonstrated experience managing projects involving in-house software development teams across the full delivery lifecycle.
Proven strong stakeholder management from field operatives to C-level executives to identify influence and manage expectations.
Experience in the Telecoms or Utilities sectors would be highly desirable but not essential.
