Job Description

Overview

Kennedy Krieger a renowned leader in pediatric healthcare is seeking to fill the position ofMRI Tech III at the F.M. Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging. At Kennedy Krieger we serve the children and families in need of our care 24/7 365 days a year. The Kirby Center is a world-renowned research center specializing in brain imaging. The center has transformed neuroscience and medical imaging by developing cutting-edge MRI techniques that allows researchers to study brain function physiology and structure.

TheMRI Technologist IIIoversees the day-to-day imaging operations in the F.M. Kirby Research Center. The incumbent is a medical and research professional with a comprehensive role that includes supervising MRI technologists and operators preparing subjects for scanning operating the MRI scanners removing subjects from the scanner and basic processing and archiving of MRI data. The incumbent has an interest in research and learning and applying new methods.

Qualifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification/registration required
  • Must be certified in venipuncture or have equivalent training.
  • Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Education:

Graduate of an AART-accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience as an MRI technologist required.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.

Salary Range: commensurate with experience
