The Opportunity:
Port of Newcastle are seeking a Business Development Manager to contribute to strategic programs and facilitate PONs customer engagement account and growth opportunities.
In this high-impact role youll work across PONs diversified trade business including containers bulk break-bulk RoRo and project cargo. This role has a specific focus on expanding container trade and supporting the development and utilisation of our multi-purpose terminal and future deepwater container terminal. Working alongside our Senior Manager Business Development you will contribute to strategic programs including but not limited to value proposition development holistic supply chain & next best alternative analysis contract negotiation and project planning using insights gained from the perspective of port users.

What you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant field are essential (e.g. logistics supply chain management international business) as well as well-developed strategic critical thinking and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have strong liaison negotiation and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
While direct port experience is not essential a strong understanding of landside logistics supply chain dynamics and logistics management is desirable.
