Your Role

We are hiring an EHS Engineer to support environmental health and safety operations and initiatives while ensuring compliance with required regulations. This is a W2 Temp position with potential FTE extension.

  • Enhance health and safety programs such as lab safety biosafety PPE risk assessments chemical management and emergency planning.
  • Conduct risk assessments audits and routine safety inspections; help resolve hazards and support disaster preparedness.
  • Participate in safety committees and accident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Organize and track EHS training; maintain records and compliance documentation including hazardous waste and chemical inventories.
  • Lead or support sustainability initiatives and manage sustainability data.
  • Prepare reports and communicate EHS progress to stakeholders.
  • Promote general safety awareness and oversee safety equipment maintenance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and other assigned EHS tasks.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related scientific discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in environmental health and safety and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of required regulations and compliance programs (i.e. OSHA).
  • Strong knowledge of hazardous materials and chemical management.
  • Excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive with strong organization time management and project management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail with commitment to quality and compliance.


Benefits

W2 Temp positions include medical and sick time benefits.

Estimated annual salary dependent on experience: $69000 - $85000.
