DDA Planning Specialist
Salary: $70000 - $82000 (Offer will be commensurate with experience)

Role Summary
This position supports the planning and capital project work of the DDA working to improve the downtown experience for all people and meet the DDAs mission. This individual performs a variety of complex professional planning and project management tasks.
It is the responsibility of the DDA Planning Specialist to support and lead capital projects with an emphasis on placemaking accessibility and resiliency. This position also researches new best practices utilizes data tools to track downtown trends and measure DDA impact works collaboratively with other City units and partner agencies and prepares and presents oral written and graphic presentations.
Education Training and Experience (position requirements at entry)
Required:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Urban Planning Engineering Landscape Architecture or a closely related field
- At least 4 years of progressively responsible planning planning-related or project management experience
- The City of Ann Arbor at its discretion may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience
Preferred:
- Masters Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Urban Planning Landscape Architecture or a closely related field
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- AICP certification
