Job Description

Job Title: z/OS DB2 Mainframe DBA (Performance Tuning Omegamon Capacity Planning)

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Qualification:

  • Hands-on experience installing and configuring z/OS DB2 Version 11 or higher on IBM z/OS mainframe systems.
  • Skilled in monitoring z/OS DB2 performance and applying performance tuning techniques to optimize system efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute mainframe DB2 database maintenance including reorganizations (REORGs) statistics collection and ensuring optimal database performance.
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining system configuration documentation operational procedures and troubleshooting guides for z/OS DB2 environments.
  • Proficient in capacity planning and performance forecasting to support system growth and scalability in IBM z/OS DB2 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of z/OS DB2 database management tools including Omegamon and Detector for performance analysis and monitoring.
